Nestling under Ingleborough one of the famous 'Three Peaks' the village of Ingleton offers a good range of shops including a newsagent, butcher, grocer, chemist, gift shops and outdoor shops as well as numerous pubs and places to eat also a climbing wall and outdoor swimming pool for the more adventurous!
Ingleton Online and Visit Ingleton are excellent guides to this quaint little village only 1 mile away from the barn.
The centre of the village is pretty with narrow and winding streets, centered on a small market square. The village's well known White Scar Caves (a mile outside the village on the Hawes road) are open to the public and have a dazzling display of stalactites and stalagmites, caverns and a huge underground lake. Walk the famous Ingleton Waterfalls Trail which takes in some impressive cascades.

The Dales countryside offers numerous walks and cycle routes, with the famous Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent just a stones throw away. If more gentle relaxation is your thing the Settle to Carlisle railway offers a journey through some of the most spectacular scenery our country has to offer.
This is an excellent location from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales and within easy reach of the Lake District, the West Coast and the Trough of Bowland.
